Hey everyone! I know there are only a few actual patrons. No matter what, I appreciate anyone who takes the time to read! (I thought I had published this in October, but I evidently completely blanked because of the chaos of midterms and life)
We are going on a semi-hiatus while I work on my Capstone Portfolio projects.
I am going to have my partner come on Patreon/Ko-Fi and post the project pictures I send to them, along with their own little captions of the work progression, sporadically. I will be posting work from the past 6 months as soon as I can.
If you do still want to support me as a patron or donate any amount, I promise to make it even more worth it than it already is with dozens of downloads and past monthly illustrations. I’ll hopefully be returning over the coming summer, should my health allow it!
Why go on Hiatus?
As much as I have tried, I am simply unable to keep up with my education, commute, and Patreon simultaneously. This last semester has been one of the most awful periods of my life in both my personal and school life.
I will likely get into it more in the future, but right now it simply isn’t possible. My days have been a bit of a blur of flare-ups, intense emotional distress, driving, and working on assignments. I have not been incredibly functional besides those tasks. Managing chronic pain, interpersonal conflicts, education-related disputes, finances, the impending deadlines, anxiety attacks, and juggling appointments. It’s been awful, honestly. Hence, my nearly complete and utter silence outside of a few Instagram posts.
Altogether, I am still struggling severely to be alright enough to keep working towards my capstone project – my portfolio and personal brand identity. Both my biggest pride and my worst enemy.
No matter what happens, I am going to claw my way to the finish line.
I am finishing my degree.
Info on the capstone show:
Family, Friends, and Public Night – 03/12/2026 5-8 PM
Professional Night (by invite only)- 03/13/2026 5-8 PM
If you are unable to make the reception, the Conley Art Gallery will be open Monday through Friday from 10 am to 4 pm
Location: Phebe Conley Art Gallery in the Conley Gallery and Courtyard 5225 N Backer Ave, Fresno, CA 93740
This is a show of all 36 students in Pilli’s cohort, not just Pilli’s work.
I ask that you treat this like a graduation. I have adamantly expressed that this reception is more important to me than the “official” graduation process of walking across a stage for pictures. I went to graduation last year, and it simply wasn’t worth most of the hassle just to walk across the stage. This show lets me truly convey the projects and techniques I’ve been working on and the skills I’ve gained along the way, far better than a single piece of paper can.
